<description>I agree with Pete. My website, http://www.designpsych.com has been online since Feb. 2003. I have submitted to DMOZ every six months and the site is not listed. The website mainly gives free information and doesn't sell products or have ads. I know the site needs to be upgraded, but it comes up number one on Google for Design Psychology and has a decent page rank.

I look forward to part two of your Web Design That Works. My site needs your information.

Joy,

<description>You don't need to be listed on DMOZ. In fact DMOZ is, in my opinion, corrupt since editors can refuse to list sites that compete with them. I have no siytes listed yet I have several listed high on Google. My http://www.article-services.com site is in the top 5 of all major search engines, yet has not been listed in DMOZ 2 years after submission.

The search engines can use DMOZ for their results, but true serch engijes like Google don't have 'directory listings'. They have indices relating to certain search terms that are use donly when these search terms are used by a search engine user.

However, apart from that, good info.
